Over 100 residents from Stebbing and the surrounding area packed into the Stebbing Village Hall on 3rd April 2017 for a presentation by the Stebbing Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.
The presentation reported on progress on the plan and introduced the new village questionnaires in both paper and online format, the results of which will be fed directly into the neighbourhood plan. The online residents' and business questionnaires can be accessed via the web site and paper copies will be delivered to your door over the next 2 weeks and collected from you.
The meeting also allowed villagers the chance to ask questions about the neighbourhood plan and generally about the UDC district development plans.
Slides from the presentation can be accessed by clicking here.
At the meeting, a Landscape Character Appraisal of the Stebbing Parish which has been commissioned by the Steering Group from consultants, the Landscape Partnership, was discussed. This will be accessible from our web site shortly and will be the subject of further consultation with the Parish.
Also a number questions were asked about the value of the Neighbourhood Plan and its potential influence upon UDC District Plan policy. We will shortly be discussing recent examples as to where a neighbourhood plan in other parishes has positively affected future planning direction and again this will posted onto the web site.
